HP Pavilion DV4-1541US

Specifications: I have always thought that 14-inch is the best size for laptops. Any smaller and you may have to start squinting at your screen. Any larger and it may feel like you are lugging a concrete slab around in your bag. Currently, one of my favorite 14-inch laptop models would have to be the HP Pavilion DV4-1541US. It is stylish, affordable and very practical. This model comes with a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM (max 8GB) and a 2.2Ghz Core 2 processor. Other notable features include wi-fi connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity and a tiny remote control.

Design: The HP Pavilion DV4-1541US is part of HP’s Espresso range, sporting a distinctive design that includes some circular patterns on its interior and exterior casing. This is a refreshing change from the slew of standard laptop designs. It weighs in at around 5 pounds and measures at around 13.15 x 9.45 x 1.4 inches in dimensions. It is mostly black in color (with a glossy finish) with some hints of silver on the touch pad and its sides.

Features & Performance: Judging from the specs, the HP Pavilion DV4-1541US is more than capable of handling a variety of moderate to heavy computing tasks. The large amount of RAM allows for a wonderful multitasking experience and the powerful processor makes running heavy applications a breezy experience. Thanks to the combination of a spacious HD display, great speakers (SRS surround sound) and a remote, this laptop will also serve as a great mini entertainment center. At the moment, the HP Pavilion DV4-1541US is retailing for around $679 per unit.
