The world has long been passionate about Nokia products because they are about the N900. The fact that it runs on Maemo 5 OS instead of the old Nokia (lackluster) mode, Symbian, enough reason alone to become dizzy. We know this phone will hit T-Mobile network and this October, if the Boy Genius was right, it will hit AT & T and Rogers wireless network in a short enough.
They have what is (reportedly) an email from a Nokia employee to customer. In an email, employees seemed to confirm WCDMA compatible version of N900. Here is the relevant text;
“On the network bands, you’re right – we’re announcing the band-band WCDMA 900/1700/2100 MHz. We have not made any announcement about a band 850/1900/2100 MHz device. An announcement will come.”

‘Forthcoming’ sounds very close in that context. Please note that the release of the band 850/1900/2100 MHz N900s still really has not been confirmed. These rumors have no independent verification and email could very well be a fabrication. It’s also very possible that the customer service employee at Nokia was just talking out. If this rumor IS still valid, we will see an announcement from Nokia is very soon.
